The Buckle March 2006 net sales up, same-store sales down

Casual apparel retailer The Buckle Inc announced that net sales for the five-week period ended April 1st 2006 increased 1.5 percent to $43.8 million from net sales of $43.2 million in the corresponding five-week period ended April 2nd 2005.
Same-store net sales, for stores open at least one year, for the five-week period ended April 1st 2006 declined 3.7 percent from same-store net sales for the prior year five-week period ended April 2nd 2005.
Net sales year-to-date for the nine-week period ended April 1st 2006 increased 2.8 percent to $78.0 million from net sales of $75.8 million for the same nine-week period a year ago.
Same-store net sales year-to-date declined 2.3 percent from same-store net sales for the same nine-week period last year.
