Footwear major adidas Golf plans to spice things up with the launch of a Limited Edition Collection inspired by their athletes on major tours around the world, this season. The Tour 360, adidas' flagship product and fastest moving golf shoe in company history, is coming to the marketplace in tour-inspired colors.
"Demand for adidas footwear with colors worn by our athletes on tour has been boiling over since last season's release of the Torsion Euro," says Dave Ortley, Global Director of Footwear for adidas Golf. "Once again, the buzz created on tour has spilled over, and we've decided to commercialize these unique offerings.
Each time we debuted a new color for one of our athletes, our Customer Service lines would ring off the hook for weeks in response. Due to the overwhelming demand for these unique products, we created the 'Tour 360 Limited Edition Tour Collection.' This one-time offering will only be available while supplies last."
Appropriately, hitting the tour in time for the year's first major championship, will be the white/nordic green/gold metallic colorway (pictured). Look for adidas Golf athletes such as John Daly, Sergio Garcia, Retief Goosen, and 2003 Masters Champion Mike Weir to be wearing their Tour 360s at some point during the week.
Introduced in 2005, the Tour 360 has taken the golf shoe market by storm. The Tour 360 won the prestigious ispovision Global SportStyle Award for Men's Footwear of the Year 2005. The awardwas significant in that it encompassed all types of sport footwear, not just golf-specific footwear.
