The organization of the competition was the responsibility of CENIT - Textile Intelligence Centre, in partnership with ANJE. After a gala dinner and the presentation of 18 finalists young designers the price went to the young German designer Catharina Saffier from de German Design School ESMOD, Berlin.
Regarding all this facts, this 33rd edition of the event confirmed that the commitment of Portugal Fashion in the discovery, dissemination and production of young fashion designers is assertively reiterated. A total of 18 fashion shows at Espaço Bloom (Bloom Space), with notable premieres by Gonçalo Páscoa, O Simone, Maria Martins and Pritt Franco.
As Manuel Lopes Teixeira says: “We continue to devote much of the event to fashion shows by young designers and emerging designers, in order to promote the generational renewal of Portuguese fashion. Especially because we’re talking about a generation that is technically well prepared, with a cosmopolitan worldview and a keen aesthetic sense - key factors for success in the global world of fashion",.
With all these initiatives PORTUGAL FASHION demonstrates once again that it is a real global platform for fashion, including in its program haute-couture, avant-garde design, commercial brands and emerging young designers.
