Giorgio Armani SpA reports profit for 2005

Leading fashion brand, Giorgio Armani SpA revealed that the 2005 EBIT reached 191 million euro mark rising almost 18 percent.

Besides, EBITDA climbed 10 percent to 263 million euro, with sales worth 1.428 billion, a rise of almost 10 percent.

During 2005 company invested around 104 million euros, which was an increase from 50 million in 2004.

Retail plans include continuing 'fast-track' expansion in travel retail and duty free.

Giorgio Armani, CEO, reported that the retail sales, including those by franchised stores, totaled up to almost five billion euro.
