Brimming over with personality, the fashion show staged by Alessia Giacobino featured vaguely oriental nuances and statement-making lines apparent in short dresses and micro-tops; long dresses and soft, silk shorts boasting a comfortable though practical, dynamic and extremely sophisticated style.

For the Maison’s SS12 collection, Mantero created 60s-inspired prints, with strong references to Art Déco and unexpected Hip Pop influences.

Starting from an initial idea of Tropical Africa and hints of Japan, Atelier Mantero collaborated in the creation of a floral, kaleidoscope-effect pattern as well as another one on canvas, imitating a militaristic, camouflage-type look.

Attention to high-end fabrics was evident in the use of triple silk organza, crépon, silk faille and cotton featuring colours inspired by the planets including Plutonian green, Martian red, lunar white and meteorite brown.

A strong, assertive collection – the very epitome of minimalism and femininity; a play of double entendre highlighting sartorial forms embellished here and there by geometries, oriental nuances or street details.
