M&S to launch first store in Geneva

Online shopping retailer Marks&Spencer (M&S) is planning to open its first store in Geneva, Switzerland on April 27. The store will be in Geneva's fashionable center.

M&S Geneva Store will focus on women's wear, men's wear and lingerie too. Sue Sadler (Corporate member of M&S) informs that the prices of products will be higher in this store then UK.

She also informs that the store is to be operated by Marinopoulos group. Marinopoulos is a Greek Company. Marinopoulos Brothers S.A. is a franchiser of Marks & Spencer.

Marinopoulos Brothers S.A. is a partner of Carrefour and Dia in the supermarket and hypermarket business, LVMH through their subsidiary Sephora in the cosmetics-retailing business, Starbucks in the coffee business, as well as GrandOptical and Fnac.

London based M&S is a leading fashionable clothing retailer. The first Marks & Spencer Lifestore opened in Gateshead, Tyne & Wear in 2004. The store represents a brand new concept in home retailing.
