Nautica to launch women's sportswear collection this fall

New York-based agency, Laird + Partners, will create the fall 2006 advertising campaign for the women's collection, which was inspired by watercolors as well as all-American style icons. Reflecting the brand's iconic design aesthetic, the ads will be photographed by Peggy Sirota, who also photographed the brand's Navigate life Spring 2006 menswear campaign with Ed Burns.

Next year, the women's better sportswear collection will expand globally, launching first in Europe. To further the brand's expansion into women's, the Nautica brand plans to launch an accessories collection in spring 2007. The brand is also working with Coty to launch a women's fragrance at the same time.

Founded in 1983, the Nautica brand is a leading global lifestyle brand with products ranging from men's, women's and children's apparel and accessories to a complete home collection.
