Fashion retailer Lindex AB is to launch a new e-commerce service in Sweden during the spring of 2007 which will feature a product range of fashion items selected from all of its business areas, i.e. Women's Wear, Children's Clothing and Lingerie.
The objectives behind the new service are to offer an additional sales channel, to increase sales and to improve customer services.
Göran Bille, President and CEO of Lindex, said, ”E-commerce will provide our customers with a complementary experience to shopping for fashion in our stores. We believe this to be a channel which will expand during the next few years. However, our stores will remain our main sales channel also in the future.”
Lindex has employed Anders Dahlberg as its Director of E-commerce. Anders Dahlberg, who is joining Lindex from JC, will take up his duties in June. He has sound experience of e-commerce, IT and relationship marketing.
Lindex inspires women and their children with co-ordinated and value-for-money fashion. With around 350 stores in Sweden, Norway, Finland, Germany and in the Baltic States, Lindex is one of the largest fashion chains in Northern Europe. Lindex's business areas are Lingerie, Ladies' Wear and Children's Clothing.
