Burks' background includes a 12-year career at Haggar Clothing Co. where he served as executive vice president/chief marketing officer. Prior to entering the apparel industry, Burks had a prominent 17-year career in advertising at leading agencies including DDB and Ogilvy.

Mulberry Neckwear, founded in 1988 and based in Richmond, California, is an international designer of better men's neckwear and the second largest designer and manufacturer of men's neckwear in the United States. In addition to marketing a variety of its own brands, Mulberry holds licenses for Kenneth Cole New York, Kenneth Cole Reaction, Claiborne, BCBG Max Azria, Ben Sherman, Sean John, Henry Jacobson, and J. Garcia Art-in-Neckwear.

Henry Jacobson designs and produces a men's sportswear collection and has licensing agreements with Kellwood for dress shirts, Peerless International for tailored clothing and Mulberry Neckwear for men's ties.
