Clothing and sportswear maker Lacoste SA General shareholders' meeting held on June 22nd 2006, has appointed new Director, Frank Riboud, Chairman of the Board and CEO of Danone Group and Director of Accor Group, L'Oreal, Renault and Quiksilver.
Frank Riboud will occupy the seat left vacant by Bernard Lacoste who passed away on March 21st 2006. Bernard Lacoste, who presided over the destiny of the crocodile for more than forty years, had to resign for health reasons in September 2005, and his brother and closest collaborator, Michel Lacoste was at that time appointed Chairman of the Board and CEO of Lacoste SA.
In addition to Frank Riboud and Michel Lacoste, the Board of Directors of Lascoste SA includes: Mrs Catherine Lacoste Pinero, Mrs Marie-Beryl Lacoste Hamilton, Mrs Sophie Lacoste Dournel, Jean-Marie Lacoste, Stephen Rubin, President of Pentland Group, Professor Jean-Noel Kapferer, Didier Maus, President of Maus Freres, Devanlay, represented by Guy Latourrette, Montaigne Diffusion, represented by Daniel Arnaud.
Lacoste SA is French designer and manufacturer of apparel and fragrances. It sells clothing, footwear, perfume and eyewear products and is easily recognized by its green crocodile logo.
The company produces a portion of clothing line in France and delegates production of international clothing in numerous factories in the world, including those found in Peru and Morocco.
