Godrej takes over hair colour market of South Africa

With a view to expand its retail realm, Godrej Consumer Products (GCPL) has taken over South African hair colour business of Rapidol UK and its subsidiary Rapidol International.
A cash deal worth Rs50 crore offers GCPL direct entry into large hair colour segment.
Chairman and Managing Director Adi Godrej stated at a press conference that the transaction was in line with company's endeavour to build a strong personal and household care business both in India and across the globe, especially in hair colours.
