The concept for HMD in July 2006 presented by the IGEDO Company in a conference with renowned menswear suppliers as well as the associations GermanFashion, Bundesverband des deutschen Textileinzelhandels BTE (Federal Association of German Textile Retailers) and the German Knitting Industry Association GESAMTMASCHE on Wednesday in Düsseldorf was greeted with rigorous approval.

The repositioning of men's fashion with its own platform HMD for menswear running parallel with CPD DÜSSELDORF has set signals and encouraged the industry to react. For menswear Düsseldorf is the only trade fair location in Germany that attracts visitors internationally.

After the immediate registrations of the companies Brühl, Gustav Digel, Ferkinghoff or Einhorn following the Düsseldorf-based meeting with renowned suppliers for men's fashions as well as association representatives in April, the concept regarding the HMD is met with great approval.

Thus, the trouser specialists Gardeur and MAC have once again come to the fair grounds to seize the opportunity to address providers of product lines and international export customers. HMD exhibiting brands like Belika from Denmark, Aeffe Uomo from Italy, Torras from Spain or Ragman from Switzerland are met with approval in the sectors of ready-to-wear clothing and articles.

Well-known suppliers from the menswear industry of CPD from the last season like Alberto, Allsize, Breidhof, Enzo Lorenzo, Hatico, Haupt, JacquesBritt, King's Road, Meyer-Hosen, Mode Monte Carlo, Navigare or Seidensticker can be found in halls 1 and 2 on the platform HMD, which is based on the compartmentalisation of individual product lines.
