He joined M-A-C Cosmetics as Managing Director in 1998 and was named President in 2000, leading the brand through seven years of unparalleled growth and expansion. In January 2005, Mr. Demsey was named Global Brand President for Estée Lauder where he oversaw all aspects of the flagship brand in more than 120 countries and territories, taking the brand to its next phase of growth, image and innovation. Within the following year and a half, Sean John, Tom Ford Beauty and Prescriptives were added to his portfolio of brands while he continues to oversee M-A-C and Estée Lauder.
Mr. Demsey serves as Chairman of the M-A-C AIDS Fund and is an active participant in many AIDS-related organizations. For his leadership role in the global fight against HIV/AIDS he has received numerous awards and tributes. He recently received the "Corporate Achievement Award" from YouthAIDS and the "Award of Excellence" from the Global Health Council.
