These ideas have been further taken into actualization by eminent groups from luxury and retail business in the coming future.
With the merchandising formats becoming more horizontal, and retailers offering variety and choices, consumers are getting confused day by day, in order to serve them better and create fashion awareness there is a greater need to give attention to personal values, attributes, taste and preferences and lifestyle pressures.
Looking at most of development in terms of future of shopping; the world seems to be "TECHNOLOGY" driven, where would be human interface then? Store can morph into "SMART" and "Intelligent" stores but future cannot just lead a single direction.
Shopping is not only service provider to the consumer, but also retaining social, cultural and ethical values that restores a nation, it's wellness in terms of heritage and culture, and contributes to cleaner and healthier environment.
To succeed, retailers will need to build customer relationships and retain customer loyalty by recognizing, exploiting, and appealing to the differences, rather than the similarities, among consumers.
Managing consumer relationships by "customizing" the interface and interaction with individual consumers will be the key in this new environment.
