Unique Clothing Uniqlo: The Most Unique Strategies

Since their rapid growth in 1999, Uniqlo has been concentrating on speed of their operation, and decreasing damaged products. They will maintain this service but add more communication between the sales assistants and the customers and increase purchase by coordination.

They have also started collecting used and un-needed products that had been purchased at Uniqlo for a period of time in recycling and re-using the materials. Such innovative campaigns are a key engine in keeping this company a low priced retailer. They will also be starting to launch a collection that is designed by young and upcoming designers but using their materials.

This strategy is a first for Uniqlo and will allow Uniqlo to increase their network. One of the collaboration will be with British designer Adam Jones, who has designed a women's coat with fur and lace at the collar. This collaboration is picked up by the press in large and the excitement is just getting higher and higher.

Fast Retailing will also be launching a new line called GU, which will be priced lower than Uniqlo. The company is big on investing in stock and coming up with strategies sporadically. How GU will do is watched keenly by the industry, and at this point not many have doubt.

Uniqlo has been successful at producing fashionable, good quality products for low price and is now working to better their consumer service. Once all this is established, how can other apparel makers compete? The impact the company has on the market is large and how they will influence the market is perhaps exciting yet threatening to many.
