Another survey revealed that most women in their 20's spend about 20,000 to 30,000JYen on clothes per month. As they go up the corporate ladder, the amount does increase.
These women have no other obligations to keep their wallets closed. They have a job of their own, and will spend their money on whatever they want.
Women in their 20's are more trend conscious than those in the other age groups. They are more particular about the color, style, silhouette, and whether the outfit match their “style”.
The most popular magazine among these women is CanCam, which offer the so-called “big sister” style. They have grown up while 109 and the “gal” boom had taken place and are very conscious about what and who is wearing the clothes.
The changing regulations at the workplace allow women to have more choices in fashion. Although the regulation cannot go any lighter, targeting their products at women in their 20's are much more of an opportunity market than targeting those in their 10's who have school uniforms, and those above their 30's as they will spend less on themselves.
