Titan Industries Ltd (TIL) of the Tata Group, which currently exports watches and jewellery to Middle East and Far East, is on the look out for newer markets in Pakistan, Indonesia, Thailand and a re-launch in Malaysia.
Besides, the jewellery brand Tanishq is all set to be launched in American markets by next year, according to Company MD Bhaskar Bhat who was on the sidelines of India Retail Forum 2006.
The company has also set up a joint venture with Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation (TIDCO), to expand its exports, which currently contribute to eight percent of the company's total turnover that came to Rs1481.37 crore in FY 2005-06.
The export growth rate is expected to remain the same at eight percent because of the rising gold prices.
The company, with just two Gold Plus Stores now, will shortly open 10 more such stores in the next quarter in Tamil Nadu.
