The new season's yarns are hairy, fluffy and really light. Mohair and top-of-the-line mix wools in dark or subdued tones will dominate the new season. Petrol and warm red tones will provide accents.
Moreover, a total of 133 knitters (130 female and 3 male) fought keenly for the victory of the first speed knitting championships in Germany, organised by the Dutch champion Miriam Tegels with the kind support of the companies G-B Warenhandels GmbH, HobbyArt (bit-Verlag), Online, Pierre de Loye, Pony Needles and Scheepjeswol. The speediest needle champion and proud holder of the coveted trophy is Gisela Engel from Wollkorb / Mannheim who triumphed with 237 stitches in three minutes.
handarbeit & hobby 2007 will be held from 30 March to 1 April once again in hall 2 of the Cologne Exhibition Grounds.
