Zara has opened in Vomero's district, the most exclusive commercial area in Naples, a store spread over some 1,700 m². With this opening, Zara surpasses the number of 40 stores in Italy.
The store is located in one of the most outstanding shopping areas in Naples, the main city of the South of Italy. To launch this outlet, Zara's architecture teams have worked hard to maintain the original structure of the building that houses the store.
The project of the store, located in a prominent site in via Scarlatti, recovers original elements from a former shopping arcade, and the latest store image of the Zara format has been adapted to the available space.
At the store's entrance, the columns and the magnificent decoration of the ceiling have been kept. Likewise, a former patio has been rebuilt inside the store, respecting its original design and incorporating it in the business premises.
With this grand opening, Zara is present with 41 stores in Italy, a country where the Inditex Group already has 94 outlets from seven of its commercial formats, having launched the first outlet in the country almost five years ago.
Since the beginning of 2006, 20 new stores have been already opened, five of them from the Zara format and the Group expects to have this same number of stores opened by the end of the year, including the first store of the Skhuaban format.
