Fashion label Chloe, frequently mentioned in papers and used by celebrities like Kate Moss and Colleen McLoughlin, has appointed Swedish designer Paulo Melim Andersson as its creative director.
Ralph Toledano, Chairman and Chief Executive of the brand, said that Chloe welcome Paulo and hoped him to become a part of the Chloe legacy. Paulo was working before as design director of Italian label Marni having rich and youthful fashion appeal.
Chloe has acquired fame for hiring lesser known fashion designers like Karl Lagerfeld, Martine Sitbon and Stella McCartney.
Paulo's recruitment echoes a recent trend in fashion markets of major brands like Yves Saint Laurent, Gucci and Givenchy appointing infamous designers to make sure big names do not push brand labels into the background.
