Raymond Ltd, India's leading textile and apparel major, announced the signing of a comprehensive Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), the premier institute of fashion design, management and technology in India.
This first of its kind tie-up in India will provide Raymond an access to the best of design inputs and talent from NIFT in order to enhance its tailoring services.
Raymond also intends to recognize and encourage fresh talents and reward excellence at NIFT by instituting the 'Raymond Scholarship' on an ongoing basis.
The Raymond brand with its innovative, high quality products has earned the trust of customers for decades. Raymond currently has the largest network of tailors operating under one brand at over 330 retail outlets in 170 cities.
NIFT will provide skilled faculty and infrastructure in terms of equipment and location and will train the tailoring services team at Raymond in various aspects including fits, correct usage of trims and machinery as well as styles for both men's and women's garments.
