Gitanjali Gems and HPCL joined hands to give their customers an exclusive experience of shopping. The first step taken towards this, Gitanjali Gems recently set up an exclusive outlet for its Sangini brand at an Hindustan Petroleum Corporation (HPCL) petrol pump in Kolkata.
Sangini has planned to set up 45 exclusive outlets - one at every HPCL petrol pump in India by November next year, according to the sources.
HPCL pumps were expected to yield annual sales of close to Rs1 crore from every showroom. They will also accommodate other brands like Cafe Coffee Day, Baskin Robbins, Subway, Crossword and ICICI credit cards at select locations.
