The new collection of makeup Spring-Summer 2007 created by Nicolas Degennes, Givenchy makeup's Artistic Director, draws vital energy and extravagance from the world of graffiti, the new frontier of unbridled artistic expression.
The goal is total freedom of expression and untethered creativity. The trend is a colorful panache, either structured or unstructured. Extreme monochromes are joined by highly contrasted solid tints, asymmetric shadings and fade-out effects.
Like graffiti, Artycolor makeup becomes a multicolored vehicle for fun, transcending norms, an accomplice that helps capture a moment, a desire or a mood…
For the eyeshadow, Nicolas Degennes has selected six sharp and striking colors set off by minute sparkles of white pearl, plus three slightly iridescent metallic shades. Mixes, superpositions and unexpected marriages…nothing is taboo thanks to the freshness and transparency of the colors.
Extreme lash extensions and curls stand out with reflections of intense blue or green thanks to the all-new Eyelashcolor, the first color lash gloss with a streaking effect.
The ultra-soft eyeliner pencil in matching colors enlarges the eye with a simple dash, creating a striking, bright look.
Bright pink, golden yellow, energizing orange and tender pink are four blushes used either in acid harmonies or solo. On the skin, the result is bright yet much softer than the Arty Pink color palette might lead one to imagine.
The final touches of makeup brilliance and seduction are nail lacquer and Flashy or Pop fuchsia lip gloss.
With Artycolor, Givenchy brings women a daring way to use color with playful audacity and optimism.
The Artycolor collection will be available at Parfums Givenchy retailers as of January 22nd.
