Monogram Groom, small leather goods from Louis Vuitton

Inspired by a Louis Vuitton advertisement dating back to 1921, the Monogram Groom collection of small leather goods is a tribute to the art of travel.

The new line evokes well-to-do world travelers at the start of the 20th century who stayed at sumptuous luxury hotels, where the staff included an immaculately turned out groom, always on hand to ensure guests a perfect stay.

At the time, Louis Vuitton trunks were subtly decorated with the hotels' coats of arms, as well the owner's initials, discreetly set off by two hand-painted bands of color, reflecting the family crest.

Today, the groom figure and bands that grace the Monogram Groom collection are screen-printed in the traditional Louis Vuitton trunk colors: blue, red, cream white, off-white, yellow, green and orange.

The pure colors and quality of the finish on the Monogram Groom are achieved thanks to an exceptional technique that requires successively superimposing and juxtaposing 12 screens.

What's more, a colored cross-grain leather lining gives each product a distinctively unique character.

The Monogram Groom is a limited edition of best seller models.

The range includes an organizer, a purse, a wallet for bills, change and credit cards, agenda covers, a key and change holder and key holders.

The Monogram Groom collection is available at all Louis Vuitton stores and on the Louis Vuitton wesbite.
