Timberland announces the appointment of four category Presidents

Scott Thresher, President, Industrial -- Scott joined Timberland 7 years ago as the Senior Director for Strategic Initiatives and was responsible for the launch of the company's e-commerce business. He then ran the Timberland PRO series business for 2 years and retained that responsibility in his next position as Group Vice President of North America.

In his new role he is responsible for product development, sales and marketing for Timberland's Industrial business and for sales of CasualGear in North America.

Gene McCarthy, President, Authentic Youth – Gene started at Timberland in May and comes to the company following three years as Senior Vice President of Global Footwear for Reebok.

Prior to Reebok, he worked for 21 years at Nike in a variety of sales, merchandising and key account management roles, including Global Director of Sales and Retail Marketing for Nike's Brand Jordan.

In his new role, he is responsible for serving Timberland's youth consumer on a global basis, from developing new innovations and providing strategic direction to merchandising and product execution.

Gary Smith, President, Outdoor Group – Gary has been with Timberland for nearly 5 years, most recently as Senior Vice President Supply Chain Management and General Manager of Outdoor Performance.

In his new capacity, he has worldwide responsibility for the entire Outdoor Performance portfolio that includes Timberland Outdoor Performance, SmartWool, GoLite and Miôn.
