Singapore Department of Statistics announces the retail sales index for the Nov 2006.
Retail Sales:
Overall retail sales in Nov 2006 rose marginally by 0.4% compared to Oct 2006. total retail sales value in Nov 2006 was estimated at $2,463.9 million compared to $2,452.2 million in Oct 2006.
Sales of wearing apparel & footwear rose by 9%. After seasonal adjustment, overall retail sales in Nov 2006 rose by 7.9% comparing with previous month.
Key Findings:
Sectors of wearing apparel & footwear enjoyed double digit growths over previous year. At constant price, overall retail sales in Nov 2006 went up by 11.9% over the same period in previous year.
