Ranchi witnessed January fifth as the Rashtriya Khadi Paridhan Utsav at the Ranchi Women's College.
All the clothes were designed by Indian Institute of Fashion Technology (IIFT). The students of IIFT tried hard to create dynamic designs.
Models walked on the ramp wearing dresses made of khadi like stylish capris, wraparounds, pencil-skirts, shirts.
The audience was quite excited by seeing the perfectly silhouetted clothes made with the coarse cloth and from different variants of khadi, kuchai silk and wool.
A 16-day exhibition on the khadi products and garments with around 150 stalls was organized. This fair did a business of around Rs1.5 crore.
