Once again Premier KIDS January 2007 had another successful season, with quality independent retailers and key buyers from department stores all making their way to source the best collection of children's clothes, footwear and accessory brands through to gift items, lifestyle products and maternitywear.

Kidswear buyers from Harrods, Debenhams, Fenwick, Hoopers, Daisy & Tom, Charlottes' Web, Applejacks Kidswear, Scallywags, El Corte Ingles and Arnotts were just some of the attending stores. There was an impressive 12% increase in actual numbers of overseas attendance compared to last year with good attendance from Russia, Japan, Finland, Greece, Norway, France, Denmark and Germany all attending Premier KIDS with a focused mind and high expectations.

Andreas Rouchotas, Managing Director, Tricoteen Abee from Greece enthused “Our main aim when visiting shows is to find new brands, and Premier KIDS has definitely put us in touch with some. We are in talks with Ollie, Indi*Jo and Salty Dog, all of which are in the KIDS Street section."

"Although we don't sell any accessories or much footwear in our store, I have to say that Premier KIDS definitely has the upper hand on this compared to other trade events. They have a good mix of product like sunglasses, shoes, socks, bags and lots of other stuff. We can definitely see ourselves coming back to Premier KIDS again.”

There was a buzzing atmosphere around the catwalk captivating the major looks for Autumn/Winter 2007/08 and from the many new launching brands. Barry Weldon, UK Agent for English Roses by Madonna, said: “With 26 years experience I've never had such a good experience at an exhibition, the amount of enquiries that we've had is better than I could have ever wanted."

"We've had a great reception here, an amazing feedback from retailers and are overwhelmed with the amount of interest created around the collection. All parties involved with the brand are extremely happy with the show.”
