Mariella Burani Fashion Group records hike in 2006 revenue

The Board of Directors of Mariella Burani Fashion Group approved the financial results for the fourth quarter of 2006 which reflect for the full year:
• CONSOLIDATED REVENUES of € 668,1 million (+38,3%) vs. € 483,1 million of 2005. Group revenues, net of capital gain on the IPO of Antichi Pellettieri, increased by 20,3% 581,2 million vs. € 483,1 million in 2005.
• EBITDA of € 124,7 million (+103,0%) vs. € 61,4 million of 2005.
• EBIT of € 92,6 million (+117%) vs. € 42,7 million of 2005.
• PRETAX INCOME of € 68,7 million (+146,4%) vs. € 27,9 million of 2005.

The IPO of the Group's leather goods subsidiary, Antichi Pellettieri SpA (June 7, 2006) significantly influenced both revenue and profit indicators of the period.

Financial Highlights - 2006:
Consolidated revenues for 2006 increased to € 668,1 million (+38,3%) compared to € 483,1 million of 2005.

Net sales growth was attributable to both, organic growth from:
• The strong performance of the Leather goods division (Antichi Pellettieri) that represents 42,9% of Group revenues and realised 28,1% organic growth during the year: the divisional growth was driven primarily by the Baldinini, Francesco Biasia, and Braccialini brands;
• “Emerging” luxury markets that generate 24,6% of Group revenues and reflect an average growth of 22,1% in 2006, and the strong performance of Italy (+25%), driven by both the leather goods and apparel divisions, benefiting primarily from growth of the Mariella Burani and Junior collections;
