Wearable computers and displays in the show include: FOSSIL and the Wrist PDA providing a portable and stylish way to organize personal information, Electroboutique Super-i Real Virtuality System, Charmed Technologies' CharmIT, Fifth Dimension Technologies data glove, head mounted displays (HMD) by eMagin, Liteeye, and MicroOptical, and the Fire Warrior Micro Thermal Camera allowing firefighters to see through smoke and darkness The CharmIT, 5DT data glove and an HMD will be in full function worn by and aiding the host throughout the show
The luminous wearable and future couture segment of the show features aesthetically driven pieces incorporating light-up elements, technological refuse, and/or innovative styling. Designers include: Nyx Illuminated Clothing, Janet Hansen and Brett Spivey of Enlighted Designs, Cyberoptix, Circuitry Dress by Psycho Girlfriend, Binary Interlace Dress by SintheteX, and Laura Bardier's Sages, an elegant leather necklace enriched with a point of light as a jewel.
CAD/CAM Jewelry and Bodywear are digitally designed jewelry pieces produced through an automated three dimensional computer printing process and will include artists: Rebecca Strzelec and the Autopsy Brooch inspired by stenography language that adheres directly to the surface of the skin via medical adhesive, Chris Golas and Mosquitoes to the Vein, and Jennifer Shotis' brooch series.
Pre-show performance features spinners, hoop dancers, stilt walkers, and clowns from the Los-Angeles based underground band “Mutaytor,” while runway music will be provided by the Mutaytor's “Dub Pscience Engineers” Buck A.E. Down and Atom Smith. The main show is hosted once again by Isa Gordon as Psymbiote, her cyborg alter ego who has grown out of a performance project and begun to take on a life of her own through the CyberFashion Show.
