Designer label Mavi Jeans is rejecting tie-up proposals from local and overseas enterprises, because it has no interest in making partners.

Established in 1991, Mavi is a flourishing Turkish label which provides a complete collection of jeans and apparel for youngsters. It sells about seven million jeans pairs annually.

According to Chairman Sait Akarlilar, Mavi is in good position to run itself hence there is no hurry to form any joint venture at present.

After former General Manager Nurettin Kantarelli resigned from office, Mavi is on the look out for a new person to take charge of this position.

More than 4,600 chain stores, specialty outlets and department stores in 50 nations offer company's jeans. Turkish Exporters Assembly recently presented 'Exporter of the Year' award to Mavi Jeans.
