NEW DELHI:
A preview of autumn-winter collection,'tea towels and a pop party' was presented by designer Puja Arya on Monday, for Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week (WIFW) 2007, scheduled for March 21-26.

The collection is inspired by tea towels or dish towels, a special linen cloth used by women to dry precious bone china tea sets in 18th century England.

Puja has created 25 silhouettes with fabrics like satin, silk, chanderi silk, laheriya, chiffon and taffeta in shades of dirty yellow green, smoky pearl grey to darker shades like steel grey, pitch black accentuated with raspberry red.

Puja's line which has borrowed the look of 60's, is modern as it offers short mini dresses, empire lines, flared pants, silk mid-length jackets and pleated skirts - mini and a little above the knee.

She has decorated the collection using techniques like hand block printing, tie-dye, patchwork and sequins work.
