“COLLAGE UNLEASHED” is all about specialized fabric treatments, savagely luxurious with smoldering romanticism and new baroque. Individualistic styling with revived structures and neo-futuristic volumes is the highlight of collection. Keeping in focus the motto “ELEGANCE IS REFUSAL” the collection has only collectors garments portraying Indian craftsmanship with restrain and style.
Each textile is carefully constructed with great detail to balance and aesthetic appeal. Only Indian woven fabrics from looms of Bhagalpur are incorporated with velvet, Silks, matkas, tussars are highlighted and accentuated with jewel toned semi precious stones.
Known for her magical color sensibility, niki's latest collection has used beautiful color palette primarily using a darker palette juxtaposed with burst of jewel tones. Very special fabric manipulations with innumerable techniques have been done to achieve the textiles. The collection works towards capturing the wonderful pungent aroma of India
The Niki Mahajan label is of course to radicalize how fabric and texture are used and perceived. It is an organic exploration of fabric and texture. Interplay of fabrics is a key attribute and highlights the synergy between Indian and International influences spelling luxury and indulgence especially in her collection.
More significantly Indian fabrics have been translated into modern shapes through sharp tailoring, superb construction and assiduous texturisation and techniques with an eye for detailing. Concept, originality and wearibility are key to her success. Niki also brings a flamboyant perspective to colour and contour seen in its Autumn Winter collection 07-08.
After winning lots of accolades for their recent collection at Wills Lifestyle fashion week 06', Niki is all set to weave the magic all over again for winter 2007 fashion week collection.
