The Autumn/Winter 2007 Showcase of WILLS LIFESTYLE INDIA FASHION WEEK will be attended by renowned international fashionistas, representatives and media.
In addition to the above-mentioned names, the list includes the likes of Jason Campbell – Editor-in-Chief - J C Report, Vanashree Singh, Convenor and Director – Durban Fashion Week, Rob Young, Fashion Journalist for The Financial Times (Business of Fashion) and International Herald Tribune and a delegation from Fashion Pakistan, among others.
Hosted by India's apex fashion body, the FDCI, WIFW is being held from March 21-26, 2007 at The Ashok Hotel, New Delhi.Anna Orsini, Head of International Office, London Fashion Week, Vanashree Singh, Convenor and Director, Durban Fashion Week and Representatives from the Pakistan Fashion Council will be present at WIFW to interact with the participating member designers to apprise them of the events and opportunities for Indian designers at these global platforms and international markets.
Another first this time is the presence of Jaap Scheeren and Estelle Hanania – the winners of the prestigious Festival International des Arts de la Mode et de la Photographie (international fashion and photography festival), held at the Villa Noailles in the south of France.
WIFW is clearly making a mark internationally. This is evident from the fact that some of these international faces have made repeat visits to WIFW. After his last visit to WIFW, Didier Grumbach invited the FDCI along with six member designers to the Festival International des Arts de la Mode et de la Photographie at the Villa Noailles in April 2006.
