It was a very unusual autumn winter collection that Aparna Chandra presented, splashed with all the colours of the rainbow, replete with mainly micro minis and a solitary maxi.
Yet it was amazing how all the garments worn over black leotards fitted perfectly into the season's mood. Her fabric choice was oraganza, silk, tissue georgette net, and raw silk with interesting discreet shimmering embroidery with just the right touches of detailing.
Her eye catchers were the olive net gathered skirt with velvet tie, the very stylish mustard raw silk short and low back top. And the very show stopping red raw silk shorts teamed with a red georgette top with silk border.
A long sheer organza maxi in deep blue was a beauty for autumn winter wear.Deriving her inspirations from different fashion decades of the past century her collection ended up giving a kaleidoscope of trends.
Aparna's collection was young and trendy but with the right touches that gave the garments an interesting and truly innovative touch.
Low back sleeves, pleats that appeared on skirts or on the sides of the garments along with sequins that gave the creations the soft glitter without giving it that unnecessary bling.
