Next Pvt Ltd Co is one of the United Kingdom's largest clothing retailers with its headquarters in Leicestershire, England anticipates a 6.5 percent rise in annual profit but a decline in year on year sales.
With the financial year ended in January, the company's profit before tax was 478 million pounds which tops forecasted 469 million pounds.
Next is anticipating that full price, like-for-like sales may see a drop of 1 to 4 percent in the first half of its new financial year. But this will be higher in comparison to 7.2 percent fall during the previous financial year that ended in January.
Within seven weeks of the current financial year, the like-for-like sales in 320 stores experience a down of 0.3 percent.
However, on the Mothers Day, sales in most stores were quite flattering.
