Raymond Limited announced its audited financial results for the year ended March 31, 2007. Net revenue from operations was lower by 3% at Rs.1,284.19 crores for the year ended March 31, 2007 as compared to Rs.1,324.74 crores in the previous year.
The company posted a profit before tax and exceptional items of Rs.157.86 crores for FY 06-07 as compared to Rs 172.54 crores in FY05-06.
Net revenue from operations for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2007 lower by 10% at Rs.347.73 crores as compared to Rs 384.25 crores in the previous year. The profit before tax and exceptional items for the quarter was lower at Rs.28.84 crores, as against Rs 44.42 crores in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
The results of the company for the year ended March 31, 2007 includes the results of the erstwhile denim division for only four months of the year and is therefore not strictly comparable to the previous year.
The sales of Textile Division registered a growth of 14% to Rs.992.22 crore as against Rs.868.44 crore in the previous year, which was largely driven by product innovation and increased retail penetration. The branded Apparel business of the company's subsidiaries have also shown good growth. The Files & Tools Division reported an overall growth of 6% in sales over the previous year from Rs 158.46 crore to Rs 168 crore.
The consolidated net revenue from operations was Rs.2,040.68 crore for FY06-07, an increase of 19% over the previous year (Rs 1710.64 crore). The consolidated profit before tax and exceptional items for FY 06-07 was 155.78 crore as against Rs 207.78 crore in the previous year. Consolidated EPS excluding exceptional items was Rs 15.22 for FY 06-07 against Rs 22.26 in the previous year.
