The launch at Singapore Changi Airport is highly visible with the wide coverage of promotional spaces and large visual exposure in Nuance-Watson stores.
Initial customers' responses are favourable with many finding the scent to be sensual and easy to wear and the packaging, which is engraved with the iconic Versace medusa emblem, to be elegant and luxurious.
A survey showed that this classic couture brand is the top-of-the-mind luxury brand among Asians. This reinforces its value in consumers' mind. With the increased travellers' spending power, especially evident among customers from the People's Republic of China, shoppers are willing to pay a higher price for a premium product and a brand name like Versace.
