Rino Rizzo, Bata International Group President visited India for the first quarter board meeting and was very impressed with the results of the business. He congratulated the management team for showing such an excellent effort.
Mr. Rizzo, along with Mr. Marcelo Villagran, India Managing Director made store visits to the East, South and North. Mr. Rizzo expressed his view that the stores have improved tremendously and are now completely different, he felt as if he was in another India. The stores are very well organized, very beautiful and the people are serving customers with a positive attitude.
Bata India is the largest company for the Bata Shoe Organization in terms of sales pairs and the second largest in terms of revenues. With 1250 stores across the country, it also has the widest retail network within the BSO.
