Timex Watches Ltd. is proud to launch its latest collection of premium style watches, the all new TIMEX SLX Series, which skilfully encapsulates and embodies one of the most definitive fashion themes of 2007, i.e., the concept of 'Sport Luxury'.
'Sport Luxury' is about the audacious blending of sports-inspired looks and performance with luxury materials and detailing. In creating the SLX Series, Timex has taken this concept and executed it perfectly in watch form.
The new SLX Series is a Men's Automatics Collection that has a range of 5 styles which takes the premise of classic analogue sports-watch styling, and then adds chic materials and detailing to up the luxe-factor.
Presented in a striking monochrome colour palette, the SLX Series collection is all about apparent contradictions working together harmoniously. Available in both leather strap and steel bracelet options.
The new SLX Series Automatics Collection is powered by a 38-jewel automatic movement, the elegance of which is showcased by a circular exhibition window at six o'clock.
Further movement intricacies can be seen through the glass case back. A fan-shaped sub-dial at the nine o'clock position utilises a fly-back hand to indicate the date, mirrored by a second sub-dial at two o'clock illustrating the movement's power-reserve. Tooled from stainless steel, the over-sized case carries a weight and solidity that speaks to the quality of the watch.
Each of the SLX Series Automatics has a sports-influenced uni-directional bezel, with elapsed-time detailing. In keeping with the theme of luxury details and embellishments, the bezels are enamelled to a smooth, high-gloss finish. A screw-down crown and 100m water resistance confirms the performance credentials.
The new SLX Series has been launched with a high impact print campaign, along with high visibility merchandising support at retail level, in the key metro cities where this collection is being retailed through select Time Factory stores and multibrand outlets.
