Damas, the leading international jewellery retailer in the Middle East, brings to the UAE the latest collection from the acclaimed jewellery brand Fope - 'Mondrian.'

Named after and inspired by the famous Dutch painter Piet Mondrian (1872 – 1944), the Mondrian Collection offers a vibrant spread of rigid and semi-rigid bracelets, necklaces and pendants in rose gold, yellow gold and white gold liberally encrusted with a vibrant mix of coloured gemstones such as rubies, amethysts, sapphires, blue topaz, peridots and rose tourmalines.

Mondrian's design philosophy, which is typified by unique stylistic compositions of geometric colourful forms, is echoed in every piece in the collection.

The renowned Dutch artist sought to express the concept of spiritual harmony and order through pure abstraction and universality by a reduction to the essentials of form and colour.

Remarked Tawhid Abdullah, Managing Director of Damas, "The latest collection from Fope speaks of modern sophistication that suits the most refined tastes."

"The Mondrian collection takes on a highly artistic concept to create memorable pieces that exude feminine elegance. It brings together rectangular shapes and circular forms in an interesting partnership that is backed by Fope's impeccable craftsmanship."

Sophistication adorns new glamour:
To the trained eye, the Mondrian Collection immediately conveys statuesque glamour and exclusivity. Drawing inspiration from a master artist whose style took shape over a period of three decades, the collection is marked by the playful juxtaposition of geometric shapes of opposing qualities, such as the rigidity of squares with the curvature of round and circular forms.
