He will present case studies on the work of this ground-breaking creative hot shop's global approach to branding and innovation in a consumer environment demanding sustainable social change. He will also invite delegates to join him in an Inspiration Shower on nanotechnology to examine this new frontier of design on an atomic level as drawn from Ad!dict lab's research.
The programme, which will include a broad spectrum of design, industry and government stakeholders, will explore new developments, trends and business models in the creative industries.
Case studies and presentations will examine topical issues such as the impact of ecological concerns on design and business, with Woolworths presenting the case for their recently introduced eco-friendly clothing range, an in-depth look at the local textile industry and a panel discussion with representatives from the retail sector including the Edcon and Wooltru groups, on the role of the chain store in supporting South African designers.
The seminar will run daily from 9:00 – 17:00 from Wednesday 29 August – Saturday 1 September with lectures on 29 & 30 August and workshops 31 August & 1 September.
