A piece from the 2008 summer collection created by the Nongovernmental Organization and fashion brand, Apoena, a Brazilian company that will participate in the Prêt-à-Porter Paris fair, was selected to comprise the official calendar for promoting the event.
The flowery cotton overalls are part of the collection inspired on the spirit of “protection”, both Divine as well as the environment.
The fair will be held September 6-9, 2007 and Apoena will exhibit its creations at the So Ethic space, destined for companies that carry out social work.
The participation of six Brazilian companies at the event was organized by the Texbrasil Program – Strategic Program for the Textile Chain, created by ABIT in partnership with APEX-Brasil.
One of the Apoena brand's highlights is its social function. All of the funds obtained from selling its pieces are fully invested in the personal and professional growth of its collaborators – a group of about 600 women who live in less-favored communities in Brasília, capital of Brazil.
