The Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) and the title sponsor Wills Lifestyle organized competitions to judge the best fashion photographers in the fraternity.
The award ceremony was scheduled for September 9, 2007 at 5:30 pm at the Wills Lifestyle Store. The WILLS LIFESTYLE INDIA FASHION WEEK AWARDS were for the categories listed below: Wills Lifestyle Eye on Fashion Award for the Best Photojournalist: This award is for the best photograph by an accredited member (photographer) of the media. The entries would consist of shots from the ramp and the event venue, clicked during WILLS LIFESTYLE INDIA FASHION WEEK. The winner is Sujan Singh, Business & Economy & Sunday Indian and will be awarded Rs. 20,000. Wills Lifestyle Eye On Fashion Contest
Two awards would be given under this category: Best Aspiring Photographer: This award is for students from fashion and design institutes. This time Vidit Sachdeva and Jonathan Selvaraj from NIFT Delhi and were judged the best aspiring photographers for their joint submission 'Red Light District'. They will be awarded Rs. 10,000.
Best Professional Photographer: This award is for professional photographers. Nrupen Madhvani won the best professional photographer award for his photograph titled 'Fantasy'. He will be awarded Rs. 10,000.
