Colombiamoda 2007 was held during July 10 to 12 at Plaza Mayor. Clara Echeverri Botero, Inexmoda's International Trade director, stated at the press conference that closed the event: “We highlight the work of Proexport, that has planted an interested in people for returning spontaneously to these Fairs.” In order to be brief, we can summarize as follows:
• 1.593 foreign buyers. • We were visited by 6.679 national buyers and visitors. • We were covered by the presence of 90 international and 270 national reporters. • Additionaly, 10.000 persons registered for the Afin training sessions.
María Elvira Pombo H., the President of Proexport Colombia, stated: “It is very comforting for Proexport to be here in Medellín again. We thank the Mayor's office, Inexmoda and the authorities for receiving our foreign visitors, a joint effort that places Colombia in the position it requires overseas. We thank Medellin most significantly, as it leaves a very good impression of the city and its hardworking and bold people.”
This year, we can see the results of a trade fair that was presented in a different manner and that sought buyers with a greater added value. This is demonstrated in the following figures, which fill us with satisfaction.
