Inditex net sales up 19% in H1

At the end of first half, Inditex boasts 3,336 stores, encompassing all eight concepts within the Group, in a total of 66 countries. The Group has created 10,109 new jobs over the last twelve months, with the total amounting to 72,377 employees at the end of first half.

During this period the logistic platform in Meco (Madrid, Spain) started operations. The platform has 650 employees and is already fully operative. In line with the Inditex ethos of a balanced personal and professional life, 90% of the employees live less than 15 km from the logistic platform.

International expansion of the Group continued during the first half of the year, increasing commercial presence in the various geographical areas in which the Group operates, with Europe and Asia the main areas of growth. Significant openings occurred in this period, including the first Zara store in Beijing and the launch of Zara Home in France.
