Due to continued business growth, SATRA has expanded its Safety Product Centre (SPC) area with the appointment of Daniel Cotter and Geoff Graham.

Daniel comes to SATRA with a footwear background, having trained as a footwear technologist before working for two UK-based shoe manufacturers.

He also worked for Voluntary Service Overseas in the Philippines for six years, where he assisted the Government in setting up and running a footwear school.

Daniel's new role at SATRA will involve the testing and certification of a variety of personal protective equipment (PPE) products.

Geoff Graham joined SATRA's footwear testing team in 1999 as a technician, carrying out a variety of whole shoe tests. In recent years he has specialised in testing safety footwear and its associated raw materials.

Transferring to SATRA's SPC will see Geoff initially working on the testing of fall protection equipment and the assessment of technical files.

He said of the move: “One of the things that appealed to me most about a transfer to SPC was being given the chance to expand my safety products knowledge and apply it to other areas such as fall arrest equipment."

Daniel added: “I am proud to be part of such a distinguished team and organisation. I look forward to bringing my knowledge and experience of living in Asia to the SPC and learning about the more diverse areas of PPE.”
