LUSH Fresh Handmade Cosmetics Ltd and Macy's announced that LUSH will open new licensed departments in select Macy's stores nationwide to sell fresh, handmade bath and body products.
"Macy's is a perfect fit for LUSH's expansion plans into the U.S. market," says North American CEO Mark Wolverton. "We have a huge pent up demand for the brand in the U.S. after years of only a mail order offering into the market. After opening five shops in Macy's in Illinois and Michigan, and realizing very strong results, LUSH and Macy's have created a program to roll out new 'stores' within the cosmetic department areas of 11 Macy's locations by the end of October, 2007."
"Within Macy's, LUSH will maintain our brand look and image, and already, we are in discussion to expand the rollout to additional locations nationwide based on our experience this holiday season. This deal, along with our current mall, street front and airport store rollout program of 60 stores per year, secures LUSH as a significant brand in the U.S. market."
"In keeping with our strategy to add products to Macy's that are unique and not widely available, Macy's will be the exclusive retailer for LUSH, beyond its own stores," says Debbie Murtha, SVP for Cosmetics at Macy's Merchandising Group.
"LUSH also will offer selected products only for Macy's customers. We're thrilled to bring LUSH to our Macy's customers in many of our premier locations -- Lenox Square in Atlanta; Mall of America in Bloomington, Minnesota; Kenwood Towne Centre in Cincinnati; Tuttle Crossing in Columbus; Menlo Park in Edison, New Jersey; Memorial City Mall in Houston; Oak Court in Memphis; Dadeland in Miami; Southcenter in Seattle; Mayfair in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin and The Gardens in West Palm Beach. LUSH is innovative and exciting -- a perfect match for Macy's."
