Dallas Market Center, the world's largest wholesale resource, today announced a partnership with Los Angeles and New York-based LIVEstyle Entertainment and Dallas-based Commerce House to launch the first Dallas International Fashion Week, October 20-26.
The event will bring the runway experience of fashion markets directly to the public via a series of events taking place at Dallas Market Center.
This unique week of fashion shows and industry parties will offer the public an exclusive first look at the newest fashions presented by regional, national and international fashion designers in one of the largest wholesale and retail markets in the country.
Event dates are scheduled for October 20 – 26th as part of the Apparel and Accessories Market (Oct. 21 – 24) held at Dallas Market Center. Plans are in place to hold Dallas International Fashion Week semi-annually with fashion shows and events each March and October tied to major Apparel Markets.
Over four days in October,designer fashion shows will showcase Spring/Summer 2008 collections in a curtained, enclosed 50,000 square foot fashion-theater located within The Grand Pavilion at the Trade Mart.
The space will feature a pre-show lounge complete with massive bar and dj booth, plasma monitors, interactive sponsor booths and special display areas. Inside the fashion theater a dramatic 72 foot “T”-stage runway will be surrounded by reserved and VIP seating as well as reserved space for media.
