It was a heady fashionable 'Lemonade' that Vineet Bahl served for Spring/Summer 2008 under his Indjapink label at Lakme Fashion Week.
The look was refreshing as the mood was set for those lazy days with delicate as the summer breeze fabrics floated down the ramp.
Chiffons, georgettes and silk matka were given the gentle soothing touches by Vineet for flowing dresses with those dreamy fluid silhouettes.
The colour palette created the perfect picture as pretty hues of pink, ivory, and beige teamed up with crayolas and rich tones like red, dusky grey and brown for the simple 'A' line and empire line silhouettes.
Embroidery was with a floral touch in red, brown and pink as it appeared for textured silk dresses.
Embellishments were as elegant as the creations with cutwork flowers at the hem, degrade embroidery on the edges, ribbon detailing, floral and thread work that was perfectly teamed with broderie anglaise touches.
In a collection of 25 stylish garments, Vineet had some stunners like the acid green empire dress with threadwork detail and print border, the multicoloured silk georgette degrade print obe wrap dress, the shell pink silk chiffon empire dress with cutwork and the ivory silk chiffon textured dress.
Ending the show with a solitary ivory chiffon sari with pretty cutwork floral detail; Vineet teamed it with a fiery red shimmering tie-up blouse for that final fashion accent.
Vineet Bahl's heady cocktail of 'Lemonades' will thrill the fashion lovers for the coming season as they thirst for stylish elegance.
